I NEED something to clear up this rosecea! Product/medicine ideas? Please..?

I had the best skin as a teenager, but since I was 20 I've had these horrible red patches on my cheeks/nose and chin. They aren't really pimply, but they have little bumps and no amount of makeup covers it. It looks terrible, and my dermatologist is doing NOTHING to fix it. She's given me a couple of products to "try" but keeps sending me home with a new appointment date..I feel like that's all she's after. She said she was going to do some kind of laser treatment, but I was four months pregnant then and she she said she wouldn't do it, now my son is 17 months old, and she still won't. I can't stand it anymore..I don't even like for my husband to see me! Anyone else have rosecea and successfully get rid of it? Thanks..
