I have numbness tingling some weakness in my hand with pain in my shoulder.

What medicine would help this? I was told that I possibly have a pinched nerve in my neck. Carpal tunnel syndrome was ruled out which I thought I had. Is surgery the only treatment for this? What about chiropractor?
