My son is a real pain in the butt when it comes to liquid medicine and I mixed it in everything imaginable but he still would not touch it. So we ended up getting him the chewable pills instead of liquid and he has no problem taking that. Maybe you could see if he'd rather have it in the chewable form

oooo....i had that problem. he'd be sneaky too, take the medicine then spit it out...... however, when he'd be at the table for lunch, i'd feed him rather than him feed himself. i'd give him a few spoons of his food, then sneak in a spoon of medicine quickly, distract him from the different taste, like, 'oo, whats that on the telly!!' then another spoon of his food. if he didn't fuss i'd make such a big deal of it, he thought it was great! EDIT: p,s, my aunt would pick a food colourant in her daughters favourite colour, make a fuss of it that way. she called it 'her special princess food' - it was a special colour for special princesses. sounds daft but it worked for her.

What kind of med is it. I would put my son in his buster seat(it has a seat belt) and use the dropper the meds come with and just give it to him. Praise him if he takes it nicely ignore him if he doesn't. And tell him it is med time before you give it to him. My son now takes his daily allergy med with out any trouble.

You could go back to the dropper. Or maybe if you are still using the dropper go to cups. Try a different flavor too. The pharmacist should be able to add flavoring to medicine for $2. At least at Walgreens. Another thing. Try weening him off of t he bottle. Granted it has nothing to do with this question but if he gets baby bottle tooth decay then he will probably need more medicine.

Joys of 2yo boys!! I have 2! 3 ways I can get them to drink their medicine. Firstly give them the smallest bit of cordial with the medicine. They never know it has medicine in it. I will give the night meds with their evening milk. I know, frowned upon, but hey gets the job done. Secondly the age old threat. "Do I have to call Daddy in??" Or Nanny or Poppy, or whoever. Once I actually had my dog come and sit with me, whilst trying to give them their medicine. Thirdly, wrestle them down, hold their nose and open their mouth and squirt it in with a medicine syringe. Not pretty, but at least they have it in their system. Sometimes, this is the only thing that will work.
