Herbal Medicines to solve different problems (problems are included in the details)??

Problems: severe headaches, common cold, bruises/ swelling, to better sight/coordination/memory/improve over all brain activity, and stomach issues such as flu/indigestion/diarrhea.

Please include herbs to solve the problem and whether or not they work (statistics), their legality (legal or illegal?), the origin and history (preferably European and Asian remedies), and how the herbs work work.

Also, please include the source of your findings.
