| Noises seem to bother me much more than they bother other people. What mental health condition is this? I am 32 years old. I am extremely bothered by loud noises. I had to live in an apartment for a few years because I could not afford a house and the noise (bangs and booms) from neighbors tormented me day and night. Even in places like libraries, I can't handle any type of noise. I was prescribed Seroquel, Prozac and Trazodone about a year ago. The only type of noise I can deal with is music because I am a guitarist. Anything other than music drives me absolutely nuts. I currently live in a VERY noisy household where everyone yells. I am a quiet guy. People tell me that I am strange because I can't handle any type of noises. I can't even sleep because I am afraid I will be woken up by a sudden noise. |
