Comrade Abdul Hassan has a spectacular aura about
Young-Earth Creationists: how do you explain the vast timescales in Hindu mythology?

If the Earth is only 6,000 years old, why are cycles of billions of years present in Indian cosmonogy? Seeing as Hindu civilisation dates back to 4,000 BCE, wouldn't they have known that the Earth was young if it had been created recently?
JonB: I'm not comparing Hinduism with Christianity, but the idea that the world is 6,000 years old with the view of an actual 6,000 year-old civilisation.
