Is there any Mythology and Folklore of Ice Lady / Snow Queen in Russia or Siberia?

Well, I base my character on popular mythology and folklore in the West, but I also want to know the others from former Eastern bloc. Russia (and of course the former Soviet Union) seems perfect.... After all, Russians Winter was and is legendarily harsh. Is General Winter also had companion?

Any Russian to help here? Is the Ice Lady such a benevolent figure? Or malicious one?
