greek mythology chess?

I am in a humanities class, and we had to choose a topic from greek or roman mythology for a game. I chose the titanomachy, which was the ten year battle between the gods and titans and I am going to make my game chess. The problem is I have no idea what to do about the peices. I was thinking about drawing them, but I don't know where to go from there. If you have any suggestions about how I should make the peices please tell me. And I am in high school so ordering them from online is out of the question.

Use your idea of drawing them, and then glue them to a weight so they will stand up. Or you could use a small piece of plasticene and make a slot in it and put the pieces in the slot. I would recommend gluing them to a small piece of wood or something like that. Best of luck with your project.

you can take some of the designs from orignal chess pieces and then use clay or whatever to mold it into your greek figures with the english chess elements

The clay ideas would require you to be an expert artist. Believe me; I've tried.

I suggest you draw them, cut them out and glue them on small discs that will fit on a chessboard. A local craft shop or WalMart should have some wooden discs.

You could glue the drawings flat on the discs, or draw them on card stock and mount them upright on the discs so they stand like chess pieces.

Good luck!

If your a good artist you could make them out of clay and take them to a place where you can fire them, is what I am guessing. I suggest the king to be Zeus, because he is the god of the gods. (Greek Mythology)

You could buy some form of clay or play-doh and make pieces out of them.
