does every story take place in a certain place or town or cites or whatever! like where did the non gods people live in? did the gods live somewhere special?

All of the Olympian gods lived on Mount Olympus, while some other gods are not aloud on Mount Olympus: for ex: Hercules.
And yes, most stories take place in a certain place, because most stories were the Greeks explanations for randomness things such as Mountains, rain, trees, hatred, just to name a few.
