Are there any accounts of vampires in Greek or Roman Mythology?

I'm doing an assignment in Classics class at school where we have to choose an archaeological site related to mythology and then pose a question on which we will have to research the answer.
Eg. I picked Knossos, and my question could be "Was there really a minotaur in Knossos?"
I was thinking of doing something to do with vampires? But if that's too hard, any other ideas?

NO.

Vampires are the result of fairly modern works of fiction. The concept of drinking blood to attain immortality is old, and is symbolized in the Christian Eucharist or Communion.

This blossomed into popular fiction several centuries after Jesus death.

You will not find vampires in any ancient mythology.

There are no stories about vampires in Greek and Roman mythology and literature. There are a couple of stories about the Lamia but that creature doesnt seem to have been a vampire in the modern sense of the word.

Stick to the Minotaur though be aware the origin of the Minotaur story was probably some kind of ritual mask worn by a Minoan priest king? "Minotaur"was probably the name of the bull used in the Minoan bull dances shown on frescos.

The (hi)story that most probably underlies the Minotaur myth is that as punishment or revenge for the death of a Minoan prince Minos compelled the Athenians to send teams to be trained for the Bull dance. The Athenians being untrained were killed by the bull until Theseus included himself in one of the and killed the Bull or its priest and escaped from the Place of the Labrys. Thats my educated guess
