Greek Mythology project?

In my honors freshman english class, we are asked to write our own mythology story. It has to be completely our own idea, and cannot be a story about one of the pre-existing gods/goddesses. We are supposed to come up with 2 gods/goddesses and write a birth story for each of them, a story on how they met, and 2 other stories.
My partner and I (we are allowed to choose one partner to help us) decided to do a god of music/sound and a goddess of the voice/singing. We have a pretty good idea of what the stories will be about, but we also need to choose an animal and city or other objects associated with them. This is where we are stuck.
Does anyone know of any good birds or other animals that have a beautiful voice/are related to music? what bird has the best song? any musical cities? objects? i would really appreciate the help!!
and if you have any other suggestions, such as a story or anything, we wouldnt mind hearing them! thanks!!

The are many cities having a musical reputation.
Nashville, Tennessee is of course the home of Country and Western.
Memphis, Tennessee is the home of Blues and Jazz and it was where Elvis got his start.
Cleavland, Ohio is the home of the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame.
London, England is a center for the arts in general in the UK.
Liverpool, England is where the Beatles are from, but it's known chiefly as a commercial seaport.
Los Angeles, California and New York City are the major centers for all performing arts in the USA.
