| In Greek Mythology, What does Aphrodite need? She required worship like the other gods. This was because a god's status rested on how popular they were amongst mortals.People who spurned or insulted Aphrodite would be punished.Like Hippolytus who mocked her by saying that he didn't need love and refusing to offer her sacrifices, and the women of Lemnos who neglected her temples and were cursed by the goddess. There are many other similar stories in which the goddess has to punish those who insult or neglect her. |
