| monstrous creature with dogs' heads? Scylla, also known as the rock. Charybdis is also known as the "hard place" (a whirlpool), thus the expression "Stuck between a rock and a hard place. In Greek myth, it was a channel of water necessary for Odysseus to travel. Scylla is not traditionally described as having dog's heads. The canine parts are it's legs. |
