| Mispronouncing 'Aeneas' as something awkward...? Well, my friends call me 'Aeneas' (he's a character from mythology that founds the Roman Empire or fathers Romulus and Remus, depending what you read). So, I purchased a pair of sweatpants with 'Aeneas' lettered onto the butt, to put it indelicately. My parents think that some kid at school is going to mispronounce 'Aeneas''anus'; because of this, they don't think I should wear the sweatpants to school. I think that this mispronunciation is highly improbable. What do you guys think? |

| Mispronouncing 'Aeneas' as something awkward...? I do not know about your friend's knowledge of Greek Mythological characters, but do know that people unfamiliar with the name will pronounce is as they would pronounce the word Anus. They may do it unintentionally, but school kids being school kids, you will soon be the butt(pun intended) of all the jokes in school. I think your parents are right. Well, you can't win 'em all ! |
