Cactus Advice?

Hey everyone! I just bought two little Cactuses from the 99 cents store. I just would like some advice on how to take care of them, how often I should water them, and everything. I'd also like to know what is their growth rate/pattern because I heard that they do take forever to grow, kind of like Cedar trees but is that true?A little something on the side. If you guys can also suggest two names for me to name each one of them. I want them to be like a good duo, I thought of Starsky and Hutch, but that's kinda cheesy lol. So if you guys have something better of good agressive partners whether it's from mythology or real time, I would love to hear some suggestions!

They like bright light, ussually direct sun. Let the soil dry between waterings and don't just soak the soil. Apparently dogs like them, because my dog ate one of mine today.

Cactus Advice?

Cacti do best if planted in terra cotta pots that are porous and drain well. You should have them in the sun most of the day, and water only when dry. Yes, it's true that most cacti grow very slowly. I have some I bought a year ago, in a variety six pack. They were in tiny little one inch pots. I now have most of them in 6 inch clay pots. All of them have doubled or tripled in size in one year. Here's a link to an excellent cactus care and ID site.http://cactiguide.com/
