He tries to put walls between u and God, but Jesus died for destroying that walls. he is like the curtains in front of a window. outsite the light is waiting to come insite ur room but first u have to pray that this curtain will go in two and open. then the light can come in. sometimes we dont do because we think it is to messy but jesus knows and loves us. He forgave all our sins. and we can be filled up with that light....

According to Judaism, Satan (which isn't pronounced SAY-tan, by the way, in Hebrew we say sah-TAHN, just a little tidbit) is an angel who tests peoples' faith. He isn't the devil or anything like that. Just thought I would offer a different perspective

Once I was riding my bicycle. There was a cable hanging over the road. I saw the cable at the last second,and I managed to duck. It had beheaded me, if i hadn't seen it.So, Satan woke up early, and decided to hang a cable over a road. He made sure my tires were fully inflated, and that my little bike was working okay. The evening before he made sure I didn't drink too much, so that my legs would push the peddles as hard as I could.Lucky for me, God sent little angels that pushed my shoulders downwards just in time. I missed the cable. Praise God and his little angels.Satan must be really, really bored.

He calls you up on the telephone and tries to sell you something. We refer to it as "telemarketing", but that's really Satan on the line.

satan works by hitting on ur weaknesses, like if u have love for money ,satan will hit on this soft spot, trying to push u to do every thing wrong related to money and so on. and the only cure for satan is to always go againest what u desire... always.then u will beat him.

I know the answer: there are more than one if you choose to believe the word satan exist for example my future creation and taking everybodies money to live life the way its suppose to be. Im evil taking all of your minds and money! get it? Bill gates can be satan if you believe that word exist because we are using what he help created! now hes rich and we are here complaining about? I'd suggest you read a little book by C.S. Lewis titled "The Screwtape Letters" this book will have all the ways Satan (well his minions anyway) work at their constant attempts to decieve us humans. Other short answer, he twists what is good, in order to make it bad. If you take any of the seven deadly sins, you will find that they are all excesses or the going about at obtaining what is already good. Love=good, Nambla (lust)=bad, money=good, love of money (greed)=bad, food=good, too much (gluttony)=bad, happiness=good, happiness of self (pride)=bad, desire=good, desiring what's not your's (envy)=bad, sleep=good, too much of it (sloth)=bad, righteous anger=good, just being angry (wrath)=bad. As you can see, Satan has no weapon that he himself has created, he's had to steal his means from God, in otherwords, he has spoiled 'goodness' to snare and entrap us as C.S. Lewis would say.
