Age of Mythology connectiong problem?

Ive downloaded the original aom but bought and used the expansion pack cd key. However when i try to create a new online account it says "Unable to connecto to ESO (on udp port 2300) due to network errors or administrator rights" i reinstalled game and that hasnt helped. I also downloaded latest patch. Can anyone help me?
