Why are the 'Religions and Spirituality' and the 'Mythology and Folklore'...

...sections separated? Is there a difference between those?
It would be enlightening of those who say there is a difference to tell us which it is.

As for Mythology just being a tradition that has been passed down for centuries, I really wonder what the fact that the bible reportedly and by evidence was first passed down orally, then in scripture until it was (about 3000 yrs later) agreed which stories to include in 'the bible' we know today.

I do not entirely understand the difference between believe in 'Religion' and the one in 'Mythology' except for the timeframe that it happens in.
Please enlighten me?
