| Can I Bring My Desktop Computer Onto a Navy Ship After Basic? I have a really good computer and I'm going to the navy, so far I've heard that you can bring a laptop but no one seems to know if a desktop is allowed I really don't want to have to buy a new laptop. Can anyone help me out? |

| Just where will you set it up? How will you secure it. Especially if you must secure during a storm or rough weather. I was on an auxiliary repair ship caught off the coast of Japan once when they were having a tornado. Rather rough seas! A laptop is the best way to go. You will be assigned a locker you can lock so be sure to have one in your seabag to use. I used a spare as one kept my seabag locked. Ron |
