Over the counter drugs at Navy Basic?

I know -I- can't bring them. But for period cramps will they allow me to have some ibprofin at Navy boot or should I go about getting a perscription now?

They don't give you birth control to stop your period.. that must be a guy that wrote that... What, that crap just came out a couple years ago where it's the "fewer periods" crap... No, that's not healthy for you while in basic.. Well, I went to basic for the Army, and well, they put you physically fit, so, I didn't have any cramps during basic.. It was really cool! ha. I think it's the amount of exercise you had that you don't get cramps, and you don't get headaches.. I don't know about the navy.. but yea, in the Army, I didn't need pain relievers... (I normally do, if I'm not that active).

when you get there you will have a chance to get that stuff and what happens a lot of the time is when you get there they give you the option of going on birth contol to stop your period and thats what a lot of the girls do but if not you are going to have to go get meds from a doctor there and there were even some girls who just stopped having their period because of all the changes their bodies were going through in training

you will go to sick call and request them. no RX that you get will you be allowed to keep, The docs at RTC will determine whether or not you actually require them and will issue you a new one.

chances are you won't even get your period anyway..and the HMs hand out Motrin 800s like candy..hence the nickname Corpsman Candy.

Either suck it up and deal or go to sick call for it once you're in. They won't let you buy over the counter medication during basic training for any branch.
