| Is it better to go into the navy reserves or to go as a dependant from my... ...sister because shes in the army? I am turning 18 in august and im planning be a dependant of her when i turn 18. im graduating june so yea. Im wondering which one benefits me more college wise. I am leaning towards being a dependant from her instead of joining the reserves. She says she can support me college wise and with housing. She has already talked to her sergeant and her lawyer about being a guardian of me as long as shes in charge of my finances. i am unable to care for myself !!!! ugh.      |

| You can't just be your sister dependant. It doesn't work that way. Dependants are spouses and chidlren of the military member. |
