I love the Civil War period, and I started thinking. Wait a minute, maybe my great-aunt met some soldiers. (I'm in the new generation so I'm that much removed from the Civil War.) Asked her, turns out she remembered seeing some.
That's cool about being pen-pals. That seems really interesting to talk to them. I haven't really looked up any information because it seems to me just a little weird to be sending guys letters, but that's just me.

I wish it were something I could do everyday, they so deserve it! We send cards and care packages at Christmas time, it is not near enough for all they do for us on a daily basis. Thanks to all the men who have been or are out there fighting for our country!
