Soo ... Navy Core Values ? (:?

I kinda have a paper due like , Thursday , && He just gave it to us today . I have to explain the Navy Core Values like , definition , && what they mean to me . I have the definitions , BUT , I don't really UNDERSTAND them enough to like , put them in MY own words . && what I DOO have isn't enough to fill the 5 pages I have to do it on . [MY INSTRUCTOR] The man was in the Navy for 32 years . && all he really does is tells me much of a failure I'm going to be in life because I'm such an Air-Head ... && It's not real fair . He knows I wanna join , but he doesn't know I'm joining the Marines . (: That's going to be the problem .... I kinda have a MOUTH . && It gets me in to A LOT of trouble . I have like , 4th years afriad of me . Haha . Staff KNOWS better than to mess with me ... Forreal . [Ohh , && for you the people that don't know what I'm talking about , I'm in NJROTC , && I'm an NS2 . It's pretty radd , && I love it . ]

Honor, Courage & CommimentWhen you speak these words, you will take your place alongside every other American Sailor and become part of a tradition that extends back more than two centuries.Honor: When we say “bear true faith and allegiance,” we are promising to: * Conduct ourselves in the highest ethical manner in all relationships * Deal honestly and truthfully with others * Make honest recommendations and accept those of those junior to us * Encourage new ideas and deliver the bad news, even when it is unpopular * Abide by an uncompromising code of integrity, taking responsibility for our actions and keeping our word * Fulfill or exceed our legal and ethical responsibilities in our public and personal lives 24 hours a day * Be mindful of the privilege to serve our fellow AmericansCourage: When we say “support and defend,” we are promising to: * Meet the demands of our profession and the mission when it is hazardous, demanding or otherwise difficult * Make decisions in the best interest of the Navy and the nation, without regard to personal consequences * Meet all challenges while adhering to a higher standard of personal conduct and decency * Be loyal to our nation, ensuring the resources entrusted to us are used in an honest, careful and efficient way * Have the moral and mental strength to do what is right, even in the face of personal or professional adversityCommitment: When we say “obey the orders,” we are promising to: * Demand respect up and down the chain of command * Care for the safety, professional, personal, and spiritual well-being of the people entrusted to us * Show respect toward all people without regard to race, religion or gender * Treat each individual with human dignity * Be committed to positive change and constant improvement * Exhibit the highest degree of moral character, technical excellence, quality, and competence in what we have been trained to do * Work together as a team to improve the quality of our work, our people, and ourselvesThese are the Core Values of the United States Navy.

Are you talking about Honor Courage and Commitment? Well, good luck with that...either it comes from the heart and soul or you don't have it. Sure, I could give you some words to put down...but that will be from me and therefore not fulfilling the reason you were given this exercise:WHAT DO THEY MEAN TO YOU?Explore and answer....trust me, MCRD P.I. Recruit training is going to make you explore your character a whole lot harder..and it will have nothing to do with "paper" (sweat, blood and tears, maybe..)

http://usmilitary.about.com/od/navy/l/blcorevalues.htmHonor, Courage, & Commitment, same as the MCJROTC link above sohuld explain it.To me, Honor is like Integrity, be honest, never lie or "uprightness of haracter and soundness of moral principle, abolute truthfulness and honesty"Courage to me is ability to overcome your fears or "a mental quality that recognizes fear of danger or criticism but enables you to proceed in the face of it with calmness and firmness"Commitment is...like loyalty and devotion I guess. Something I'm already during since our program is dying and I'm one of the few 10 cadets still trying to make a differences.Well this is what the MCJROTC explain it to us, could be different for NJROTC.

HONOR COURAGE COMMITMENTThey mean different things to different people. There is no ONE correct answer.I always like to say honor is doing the right thing when you know nobody is watching.Courage is standing up for what is right even if it is not popular. Commitment is standing tall to your Navy Core Values no matter what. You need to start changing your life if you want to be a good Sailor or Marine. Your way of writing here will get you kicked in the head a few times since it looks like you talk the same way that you write so I will explain it this way. Stop being an air head for real like totally today. You need to start keeping your mouth shut and your eyes and ears open if you want to learn from smart people like your instructor. Adults have a lot of wisdom and if you shut your mouth long enough you can learn something. Stop talking and writing in text message mode and try using the english language correctly. If you don't know how go ask your english teacher to teach you. You will get killed in the Marines if act like this in the Corps. Same thing goes for the Navy that is why they are beating on you now for it. Start taking life and your NJROCT more seriously and people in general may respect you a lot more including yourself. Try going to the library and start checking out Naval history books. You will learn a ton and be better off for it. AND stop using && and "like" over the place it is gay and annoying!

Honor, Courage, & Commitment.Army was Honor, Duty, & Commitment if you're wondering. I think Air Force is too.I was taught that it means whatever you wish. Its what you believe in. The JROTC can't force you to do stuff and they can't force you to believe in everything they say. The basic ideas they have in the texts books are just ideas to help you if you're lost.
