The Navy thinking about joining?

lately i have been thinking alot about joining the military and the navy is what has come to mind. In the navy is there away for your girlfriend to live with you on base? what is the starting wage? and i would like to do some thing in the criminal justice field what does the navy offer for that? what are the plans for join like 4 or 6 years ? hom long are you out on water? thank you very much

OK so here's some answers for you no way can your girlfriend live on base you can apply for housing allowance (BAH) that will allow you to rent an apartment out in town just search bah calculator it will ask you for zip & paygrade & show you what you would get in that area with no dependents, base housing is reserved only for married couples & for someone single it can be alittle bit of a process to get living in town on your own approved but that really depends on the commandyou enlist for 4 or 6 years with diferent incentives for both while on Sea duty a deployment is 6 months but you also have work ups so youll be gone longer
