| Navy restrictions question!?
I have two metal pins in my lower left ankle from it being broken back in my freshmen year of highschool, does anyone know if that disqualifys me from joining the Navy? Or even trying out for the Navy Seals challange? I've been training for the Seals but I just realized that maybe this would restrict me from joining... anyone know please? Thanks in advance!

| Navy restrictions question!?
If it has completely healed and your movement is not affected in anyway then just don't mention it in your medical. My arm was badly broken (in 8 places, I have 13 wires in there now) and during my medical the doctor saw my scar but just asked how I did it and took a look at it.If you don't make a big deal out if it then chances are neither will they.I'm in the British Royal Navy so it may be different in the US

| Navy restrictions question!?
Regardless of what people might say on Y!A, as the previous scribe stated, check with your recruiter. Be sure to ask for a medical waiver if they immediately give you a negative response. In this day and age, a few branches have elected to provide waivers. If the squids don't accept you, try the elite Army, and push yourself toward Ranger school or SF (Special Forces).

| Navy restrictions question!?
Does it restrict movement?Don't mess around asking questions here. You'll get too many opinions, not answers. Call your local recruiter. He'll be more than happy to answer ANY questions you have.Good luck!
