ASVAB for Navy?

I am thinking about joining the Navy. I know I need to take the ASVAB Test. How do they score the test? How many questions? What is a good score? What are good study guide I should read?

ASVAB for Navy?

You have to know a head of time that the ASVAB is the same for every branch in the sense all branches take it together but as for who expects you to get the higher score that parts different. Another thing you cant fail the ASVAB, they give you points for putting your name in the right spot, it is a big deal in the sense you need to study, I got a 44 and my sister got an 87 she is a journalist MOS and im Chaplains asst. The thing is you need to know how high it needs to be for the job that you are wanting,so speak with your recruiter and he or she will fill you in. Email me any questions: ms_oxford_89@yahoo.com(Private Oxford Here Of The United States Army, Active Duty)HOOAH!!!

ASVAB for Navy?

It is sorta like taking the SAT. It is divided into sections like Math, Reading Comprehension, Mechanics/Science. It is timed, and some people find it very challenging. I believe they sell books that include practice tests, as well as some on-line.

ASVAB for Navy?

The ASVAB is used to help determine your job in the Navy (your rating). The ASVAB is broken into areas to determine you capabilities, i.e. electronics, mechanical, math, etc. There are study guides that you can check out of the library or purchase at a bookstore. Read through one, but don't kill yourself studying. Even if you are qualified for a rating that you want, if there are no openings at the time you won't get it. Be flexible. Select a few ratings you're interested in.Good luck!

1. See this article. http://usmilitary.about.com/od/joiningthemilitary/a/asvabscorechg.htm2.?3. http://usmilitary.about.com/cs/genjoin/gr/asvabdummies.htm4. Over 50.Also see info here on the ASVABhttp://www.military.com/ASVABI don't know how this relates to the score but when you take the test, if you get an answer wrong the next question is easier. If you get a right answer the next question is harder.

ASVAB for Navy?

You Should Know That the ASVAB is the same for all branches of the Military, That just use the scores differently. They score the test on the number of answers you get correct, not on how many you answer. That will let them know what areas you are good at. That average score is around 50 But, the better you score the more Job that will be available to you. There all kinds of study guides that can give you an idea what the test are like. Like the ASVAB study guide has practice test in them. You can check them out at your Local Library. I hope this Helps.
