When you join the Navy, and get your "A" School assigned, they will teach you what you need to know for your rating.However if you already have some schooling in the basics, you will be one up on the other students I am sure.

well you wouldnt have to join the navy because you do not necessarily get the job you are qualified for when you get in. If you get certified as a computer technician you can get a high paying job without joining the navy

Yes. But of course it does depend upon where you go in your studies and choices you make to follow the (Exact) course you want to go into. The navy will train you well enough for most computer or IT jobs. But programmers are having a hard time finding work due to overseas downsizing and cheaper fees for the work done. So, just FYI - (for your info.). Hope this helps!
