ms.jackson... has a spectacular aura about
is anemia permanently disqualifying for the air force?

When I was in high school, I stopped eating meat... then I went to the doctor later and found that my red blood cell count was slightly low. So i took Iron pills, I never had a low reading since then. Years later I got a kidney infection, and blood work showed that my red blood cell count was low again. I had to show proof that I didn't have kidney problems, but my doc wrote on his notes that I had a history of Anemia, because I told him that the doc at the hospital wanted him to check my blood count again, and it had been low once before. Will this disqualify me. Because I'm not anemic. I have never had any complications or anything like that because of it.
I called my recruiter but she hasn't called me back yet. So I was wondering if anyone could help me because i'm going to the doctor on monday, so I can get from him the things that I would need to get in case she hasn't called me back yet.

If you make it to the processing center (MEPS) they'll do a complete physical on you. If you don't take your civilian medical records, the military won't go out looking for them. If they find you're anemic, I'm almost sure it's a disqualifying medical condition.
