| Whats the best job in the Navy for non-officer? Okay so I have to pick a job. What is good? Are there any to watch out for? Boatswains Mate? Dental Assistant? Ship's Steward? Stores? Okay.. So does anyone know any inside info on these jobs? Pros/cons etc. Thankyou guys. I know I should be asking the recruiter, however I want to know as much as I can before I go. I want to do a good job for a girl. Not, just what they get me to do. Hope this makes sence. |

| Well it will depend on your interests, what you are qualified for, and what YOU choose to do. I was an Avionics Techinican and I think that was the best job in the Navy, others would disagree. The bottom line is this, go meet with the recruiter, go get your ASVAB and Physical, sit down with the job classifier, see what you qualify for and what is available to you, choose accordingly. IF YOU DON'T LIKE YOUR CHOICES, DON'T JOIN! There is nothing a recruiter can do in their office to obligate you to the service. You do however have to go through the asvab and physical to see what is available to you, what you qualify for, etc. Good Luck |
