whats life like in navy a school?

just curious if anyone can tell me what my life is going to be like when i go to A school, i'm debating either nuke or Air traffic controller, i got both jobs just haven't signed the papers.

I'm hoping this is a good time to buckle down, study, and save money. will i need a car? Will i have any time to go out, i knwo you can't in the beginning. . ..

basically i want to do my best, and use this time to get a nice chunk of change together since i am thinking i will probably be too busy daily to really waiste cash on anything.

i went to a Never Agin Volinteer Youreself class a school in sandieago cal.for mechinery repairman.i had to stand watches on shore patrowel, lived in barracks you do get liberioty each comand makes thare own policys concerning such thay march to chow and stand inspecetions on both themselves and the barracks. just like booters,.best study alot more than party.you dont want to fail but thay love to try to fail someone so pay atention to detail..thay go threw phases in the training,it takes so many weeks to get threw school thay divide it in to phases .at the end of a phase a new class begins and the old one moves on to phase 2 phase 3 etc a car is great to have it would make travel much easyer and life lots more fun, but you mite get stationed overseas,if you can get a shore duty in hawii it is considered sea duty. if you dont realy need it what ever it is you would be better off saveing the money at the end of a 3 or 4 year inlistment you can buy a nice car pay cash for it and save lots of money on the intrest. you will have 30 days a year vacation time which is great. you can use it or sell it back to uncal sam, hope you are more of a gung ho sailor than i was, fair winds and calm seas to you mate. ps thay have a list of places to stay away from you best check it out before going out.and best get a bank card never carry cash and keep a limited amount in youre checking account and the rest in saveings.that way if thay did get youre card thay wouldent get much if enything.civillians see a young guy in uniforlm thay see a sucker for a scam sad story or plane out asault and robery best go out with buddys.not alone.
