| Can you switch from Marine Corps to Navy? Marine corps is separate branch from navy BUT it is still department of Navy.. So is it possible to switch from Marine Corps to Navy before your enlistment is over? I thought it would be possible, although it's not going to be easy.. Anybody know answer to this? I dont want your thoughts...Please facts only please... *If I am switching to navy, how should i start off? Should I contact navy recruiter? Thanks Why should I not let my command know that I asked this question? What are they going to do about this? It is their decision to either release me or not, but I can still request for it. Also, I hate to argue about this, but this is my time and life so don't comment about my action. If you like the corps that's you, dont think everyone is same as you.      |

| Look up something called a DD Form 368 (link won't paste in right). buperscd.technology.navy.mil/bup_updt/upd_CD/BUPERS/.../PDF/DD0368.PDF It might be possible to get conditionally released into the USMC Reserves by your chain of command and then transfer from the Reserves to active duty Navy... But good luck with getting them to go along with that. |
