Thumbs up Better Pay for Active Duty during the War on Terror

Take Action!
Military Needs Adequate Pay to Fight the War on Terror! "The Military Pay Improvement Act" (H.R. 2027) is sponsored by Rep. Gus Bilirakis (Fla.) to close the pay gap between civilian and enlisted service members.

The Administrations FY 2008 budget includes a three percent military pay raise for all ranks effective 1 January that would only match the average increase last year in private-sector wages, leaving the current pay gap unchanged. Adequate pay increases are critical while America is at war and will contribute to improved morale, readiness, and retention.
