War on Terror is it a War or a US Military invasion?

We all know that Afghanistan is a war on Terror.

So what is Iraq? A Military invasion and occupation?

Tell me what you think Iraq war is--A Military invasion and occupation or a real war. And why do you think that way?

I think of it as an invasion and occupation since Congress never officially declared war on Iraq and according to US law they have the sole authority to declare war. I also feel this way since we are fighting terrorist who flocked to Iraq after the invasion and insurgents who want us out of their country and the ability to rule themselves. In addition were this a true war there would have been a definitive plan on how to win and an exit strategy in place. I find it difficult to call this a war when we are basically policing a nation that we rendered incapable of protecting itself when we invaded and dismantled their military and police. Finally I feel that "war on terror" is a ridiculous term in the manner it is being used by the Bush Administration since the invasion of Iraq created more terrorists and provided them the perfect training ground and opportunity to attack the US through our military. A true war on terror would not have destabilized a country and allowed terrorism or Al-Qaeda to swarm in and establish a strong presense where previously there was none.
