How does the Navy college fund work when combined with the GI Bill?

How does the Navy college fund work when combined with the GI Bill?

Instead of an enlistment bonus, I got a 40K dollar college fund when I joined in 2001. I also paid into the GI Bill, so I have that as well. So do I have approximately 80K dollars for college? How does it work?
