Is it true that US Navy use antacid tablets in bread to blow up the stomachs of

seagulls? Ive been told that to lessen the chance of birdstrike, the Navy put antacid tabs in bread, feed them to the gulls, the acid in their stomachs cause them to swell up to such an extent they explode?

I'm not sure whether the US Navy does this, but I know it's possible. Its the bicarbonate of soda in the antacid tablets that does it. I think it must react with the stomach acid, giving off a gas which eventually explodes the stomach.

Military haters spread those kinds of things all the time. It's absurd on the surface. They blamed the Navy for dead seals or something recently, turned out that dolphins have a cruel streak and kill for fun.
