What is the meaning of the Masonic Lodge?
and is it linked to the Da Vinci Code?
I'm aware it's a secret society, my grandad is a member and has the handshake but he tells me nothing,he just goes quiet it's all very bizarre it just really interests me is it all just a big conspiracy?
can you explain it to me? please

Freemasons do not worship the Devil, don't believe anyone who says that. They are a network of tradespeople, and have men of the cloth among their ranks. Some of them are women. They are not secret - what kind of secret society would have a visible building on a city street with a sign outside saying 'Secret Society'? Their rituals are merely a way that they can identify one another rather than anything dark and conspiratorial. It is true that many of the biggest business minds are Masons, but in most cases you'll find that they were successful in business before that happened.

The Da Vinci code is a fanciful conspiracy theory that was made into a fiction book and from that book, a film. Masonry and the Knights Templar (the Masons consider themselves heirs of the Knights Templar) were mentioned in the book, but as I said, the book is a fiction.

If you really want to know more, I would keep quiet for a few years, make a name for yourself as an upstanding citizen and then ask your grandad if you can join! I'm serious.
