I was asked to try to find the 6th District Traveling Gavel. I know that Hampton Lodge #70 has the Cascade Lodge Traveling Gavel. Meridian Sun Lodge #26 has the Traveling Hat. Montgomery Lodge#31 has the Rex Lodge Traveling Gavel. Now where is the other one at??? Now that was said, if there is any Traveling Gavel in your District. Please let me know and I will try to keep you up to date where it is at. Maybe this will help to promote more traveling in your Disrict. Darrell Flanigan
5th District= Clarkston took their Traveling Gavel back last week. They have a page about it at listing present location and where it's been.
9th District = Mt. Zion Lodge #316 has a Traveling Gavel in their possession from the 7th Masonic District. It is a rather large gavel and we have had it for at least 3 or 4 years. Will have more infor. later. Donald P. Gresh

October 6, 2006= Lakewood Lodge #443= Will Confer the Entered Apprentice Degree. Eat at 6:30pm and meet at 7:30pm.

October 7, 2006=St John the Baptist Lodge #184= Sand Pit,The Associated DeMolay Chapters of Georgia will confer the DeMolay Degree this year at the Troupeville Ceremony. Come out and support these young men of Georgia DeMolay. This will be only the second time in its history that the Master Mason Degree has not been conferred at the Troupeville "Sand-Pit" Ceremony.The Location: Masonic Temple of Valdosta, Valdosta, GA, starts at 3:30pm.

October 7, 2006= Midland Lodge #144= Annual Bar. B. Q. BBQ Pork or Chicken, brunswick stew, beans, tea, bread. start at 11am. to 4pm. $6 donation - eat in or take out.

October 7, 2006= Campton Lodge #566= Stewards and Deacons Workshop. Breakfast at 8:30am. start at 9am.

October 7, 2006= Mansfield Lodge #489= Whole Hog BarB.Q. Start 11am. until sold out. $6 gets you one BBQ plate with all the fixins and tea. Last BBQ sold out very quickly, so be sure to order your tickets early. Ticket sales will stop on Monday October 2nd.

October 7, 2006= Hapeville Lodge #590= Has A Called Communication. For The Purposes Of Hosting Warren Lodge #15. October 10, 2006=Gate City Lodge No 2 will be conducting a Black Tie, Candle Light conferral of the EA degree on four candidates on October 10, 2006 at the South Lodge of The Atlanta Masonic Temple on Peachtree. Dinner is at 6:30PM, Lodge starts at 7:30PM. Guests may dress in their usual attire. Courtesy Conferrals are available that evening, call 404 787 3052 for details.

October 10, 2006= Joneboro Lodge #87= Will Confer the Entered Apprentice Degree. Eat at 6:30pm and meet at 7:30pm.

October 10, 2006= Fort Valley Lodge #110= The Rainbow Girls, who normally meet at Tyrian Lodge # 111 in Warner robins are going to be there to present a program on their organization, eligibility, etc. Knowing this organization, as I do, it will be a terrific occasion. So come bring your cameras and enjoy the fellowship and fun that Fort Valley Lodge # 110 is known for. NOTE: The lodge will be called to refreshment for this special program and wives/girlfriends/ Masonic and non-Masonic friends/sons/daughters are encouraged to see this fine program. This would be a great time to introduce folks to Freemasonry and show off our Lodge building. We eat at 6:30 and meet at 7:30. This efforts falls within the 2006 overall goal of increasing our knowledge on all Affiliated Masonic Organizations through the Masonic Education Goal we have for 2006. Previously, we hosted the Shrine and the DEMOLAY. Time is short this year to do others, but I am sure the incoming WM will continue this program
for 2007.

October 21, 2006= George Walton Lodge #699= Ladies and Widows Night. starts at 6pm.

October 21, 2006= Hebron Lodge #564= The 15th Masonic District will have an Exchange Degree with Hebron Lodge in Georgia. A Degree team made up of members from Lodges in the 15th District will travel to Hebron LodgeNo. 564 with the Seneca Lodge Charter and Candidates and confer a SC style Fellow Craft Degree. Breakfast will be served at 8am. Hebron Lodge is located between Carnesville and Commerce on Hwy#59. (Email WBro. Dennis E. Gueth to request a Map and Directions). We expect close to 100 Masons to attend this most special event.

November 4, 2006= Mansfield Lodge #489= Grand Masters will visit Centennial celebration with cornerstone laying and building dedication. Grand master will visit. Reception and meal open to all. Activities for all. Grand officers will be recieved in a tiled meeting. Cornerstone and building dedication will not be tiled. Activities begin at 3:00pm.

Miller MWPGM (keynote speaker) Color Guard provided by Georgia DeMolay hosted by Clayton Chapter at 8 pm at Meridian Sun Lodge #26.
