Rodeo Data Brothers and Others,
The time has arrived to present our annual charity event for the Peach
Regional Community. The 5th Annual Peach Regional Rodeo will begin in
just 4 days on Friday, November 10, 2006. This year's event promises to
be the most exciting yet. With the help of many brothers and others
within the community, we have coordinated an event that includes much
more than just bulls and horses and clowns. This event has something
that appeals to the entire family. We rodeo on Friday and Saturday
night. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. and rodeo begins at 8:00 p.m. each
night. Prior to the rodeo on Friday night, we will have a brief
entertainment session before the crowning of the 5th Annual Ms. Peach
Regional Rodeo and the beginning of the rodeo. On Saturday, we will
kick things off bright and early with a breakfast for Veterans at the
American Legion in Fort Valley. Breakfast is free for Veterans and
$5.00 for others. Following the breakfast, the Peach Regional Rodeo
Parade lineup will begin at 9:00 in the Bluebird Body Co. parking lot
with pulloff at 10:00 am down Hwy 49 onto Main Street in Fort Valley.
Once the parade is completed, follow your ears to the rodeo grounds for
some of the best FREE musical entertainment you've heard in these parts
in quite a while. You'll hear the likes of Mattie Fuller, formerly of
Tops in Blue, The Harmony Boys from Harmony Community Church, The Dirt
Road Gig, Claude Hicks Vocal Band, Mrs. Leilani Durden, Ms. Katey
Randall, and the Lost Canyon Band - all providing a wide variety of
entertainment. If at first you don't hear something you like, take a
stroll around our vending area until you do. Our vending area will be
complete with food, snacks, and inflatable rides for most kids. Once
the music is done on Saturday, we roll right into the main event. As in
year's past, we'll have some of the top riders in the country each night
competing for championship points as they make their way toward the IPRA
Finals in XXXXXXXXX.
My request from each of you is simple. I ask that you come
out to the rodeo to support YOUR Lodge. We need people in all areas to
help manage this great undertaking. Please come be a part of this
wonderful event. Thanks in advance for your support.
Sincerely,
L. Todd Lavender
