Tri-State Morning Lodge #673 A.F&A.M. of Dubuque, Iowa installs new officers Michael Lavelle of Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin has been elected & installed as master of Tri-State Morning Lodge 673 A.F & A.M of Dubuque Iowa. The installation was held on January 6th, by Edwin Blinks, Past Grand Master, he was assisted by Clifford Godsey Past Grand Master & Jack Butler Past Junior Grand Warden of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of the state of Iowa. The annual installation was conducted at the Dubuque Masonic Center 1155 Locust St. Dubuque, Iowa. As master, Lavelle becomes presiding officer and head of the Ti-State Morning lodge one of four lodges meeting in the Dubuque Masonic Center. The title of master reflects the Masonic tradition of using ceremonies and titles from the stonemasons of the middle ages. When the great cathedrals of Europe were being built, the Mason in charge of a building site was referred to as a "master of the work." Lavelle dedicated this installation to the memory of the Brothers that built Iowa Masonry in the past, may we carry on as well. Other officers installed during the ceremony were Eugene Chappell, Senior Warden; Robert Klawitter, Junior Warden, Alexander Tischuk, Treasurer, Gust Mihal, Chaplain, Francis Spencer, Senior Deacon, Herb Koppen, Junior Deacon, Ken Weninger, Tyler all of Dubuque and Neil Millard, Secretary of Livingston, Wisconsin. The Installation was followed by at 4:15 PM by hor dourves hosted by WM Lavelle and his wife Holly, with dinner at 5:30 PM, there were 85 guests in attendance. Several Personal friends of WM Lavelle traveled for his installation, Junior Grand Warden of the Grand Lodge of Iowa, Robert Holliday of Davenport, Jerry Potter of Madison, WI. WM of Warren Lodge #4 of Potosi, WI., SW Jim McNeil, SD Dr. Mike Mudrey of New Glarus, WI. Lodge #310.with his lady Diane also SS Carry Schneider of New Glarus, WI. Lodge #310.
