I have a model 300 optical mouse( microsoft) and it hasa quit working?

I have amicrosoft 3000 optical mouse. It has quit working.... My wife takes it to work and it works fine... any Ideas>>>>Is it something on my main frame im not doing , do i have to program it, Hell help a brother out !!!
