my ankle hurts so badly that i cant walk. any home remedies for foot and ankle pain?

A couple years ago I had terrible foot pain when I walked. I went to "The Good Feet" store and paid $600.00 for special orthodics. My foot pain is gone. It took about 2 months to feel better. Now I see that you can buy a similar type (actually, they look exactly like the ones I have) at drugstores like CVS for $20.00! I wonder if anyone has tried those if they could comment on how they work.

i play a lot of soccer. i now do it 5 times a week and cutting down on any of it is not an option. please dont answer "cut down on the sports." thanks!


anyways, whenever i run or do something active, and then i rest (even for 20 seconds) and then i get up again, i almost cant walk because my left ankle hurts so much. could this be linked to why every time i roll my ankle, it makes a loud pop (in both ankles)? i use ankle wraps/braces when i play soccer, but they don't work. i have soccer tommorow and so i would REALLY appreciate it if any of you could share your best ways to cure pain in the ankle/foot region, like hot water over it or a cold press? idk, please help because it really hurts still.

Or if you can get to a drugstore I use this stuff called Soltice, it helps with the soreness. Bengay or anything of that sort is probably the same.
You should go to a doctor though.
