| What is this chronic upper back pain?
Ok so i use to play sports a lot in middle school and then i stopped and started staying at home on the computer slouching. I also carried all my books in my bag my freshmen year since i didnt have a locker. My upper back, shoulders, neck, hurt all the time. Im a senior now and the pain is still there. I got a xray and my doctor said everything looked fine. But could be causing it? I dont stay at home anymore and im active again, but this pain wont leave. Do you think its a muscular problem? It hurts a lot. Oh and its not scoliosis. What kind of tests could i run to find out? |

You could have a pinched nerve or a herniated disk (which would end up pinching a nerve as well). The best thing you can do is go in for an MRI. If it is a disk problem, it won't be visible on an x-ray because the disks are radiolucent. |
