i take pain meds for my back which has caused me to have real hard

bowels that r bloody & painful.? I am really scared because they death begins in the colon, and my poops r no where near normal. I either live with the very serious back pain, or i live with a soar butt. My doc has given me stool softeners but they r not working. I just do not know what to do. I need help serious only need apply.
