severe back pain?

i have had three chiro trips two er trips and a trip to my fam docotor to get this friggin pain to go away. believe it or not i felt way better before i started this "treatment" for sciatic pain. ER only gave me 6 pain pills for the weekend. which is retarded because even if i take 1 every 4 hours, i wont make it til monday. and besides my doctor is not into giving out meds for pain. i tried lyrica.. helped for a few days then nothing. i am in pain just sitting here. i almost think my chiro is a quack. he's always praising me for stretching before exercise, but doesnt listen to a word when i tell him i am im sever pain. cant stay in one position for longer than maybe 5 min. he seems to think that ice packs cure all. he is mistaken!!!!!!! ibuprofen 800 and 75 of lyrica , and 1 vicodin every 6 hours. which like i said before, i may as well be eating skittles for pain relief. should i coniinue the chiro or go to the fam dr who is reluctant to give me anything narcotic. i am screwed.
within the last day i have had several mmore spots that are sore. i am only comfy on my stomach. which i hate to sleep that way! i need something, an idea, a remedy, advice for alternative pain management... anything but rude or sarcastic comments please.
sciatic pain on bothe sides with radiating pain down to my feet. my chiro is not hands on, he uses an "activator" wich is like a little gun that that shoots a metal rod into the skin. it is supposed to work better because it causes less pain than hands on treatment (this is not true. it actually hurts more than hand manipulations. i have recurring sciatica, so i know what is wrong with me. and yes i saw x rays that proved that i have severe trauma of some type in my sciatic area and at the bottom of mt neck bothers me also. apparently i have had some sort severe trauma there too but it doesnt feel bad. but he hasnt stabbed me in the head with that nasty poker thing. do i need to switch to a hands on? and how to get a dr with a bad attitude and bedside manners give me a prescription of narcotis just this once???? and apparently i need to ask for tests like mri and ct and xrays, because he doesnt give a wild damn about me..... i am seeing my neurologist on wed. will he help me?
