I have felt a stitch type pain in the left side of my chest for the last few days.

Should I be concerned? It hurts more when I breathe in deeply or move around suddenly. I can also feel it when I lie down. It has come and gone over the last few days but has been more constant over the last 7 hours. I'm starting to worry that it might be a sign of heart disease, although I hope I'm just imagining this! I have also been finding it harder to breath but that could also be because I've been taking shorter breaths since I've had this pain, as when I try to breath too deeply the stitch pain gets worse. I used to get brief stitch type pain in my chest when I was younger but it always went away within a few mintues and I experienced it rarely. I'm 31 years old now.
