Jesus could have chosen to not feel the pain or to be brought down from the cross, but He chose to suffer and die, taking the burden of our sins onto Himself. Jesus was the Son of God, He was God come in the flesh; thus, Jesus had all of the physical burdens that we have.
Your pastor has great faith. The Lord does heal and can heal us of anything and everything. No, healing is not impossible, I have personally experienced the miracle of healing from the hand of the Lord and the Lord has used me to lay hands on several people with positive results. So, healing is not impossible and the Bible tells us that the gift of healing is one of the gifts of the spirit. Why should your pastor want pain? Why shouldn't your pastor ask the Lord for healing? It is a gift and as the Lord's children, we all have His blessings. Why should your pastor, or anyone go through going to a dentist or doctor when healing can come directly from our blessed Lord? I'm sure your pastor prays for many things, but the Lord answers prayers in His time, not ours. The Lord will not always answer a prayer, especially if it's not to our benefit. Your child asks for ice cream and you prepare a cone. The child eats the cone but wants the rest of the half gallon. You say no. Why? Not because you want to be mean to your child or to deny your child. You don't want your child to have too much sugar, junk food and too much may give the child a belly ache. You are being a good parent. The Lord does the same, He is a good parent to us.
I don't think your inquiries should get you kicked out of the church. I would think of your questions more towards seeking and understanding the scriptures and the power of the Lord. If you want to question and are uncertain, tell your pastor that you would like to speak to him in private for a few minutes. I'm sure he would be more than willing to give you the explanations that you seek without any reprocussions.
