| Taekwondo and medical issue - Bruise to shin in result of ankle pain?
It was the last Friday of the term at school and i had taekwondo training in which i was sparring with a blue belt. (i'm only green) Anyway, i tried to kick him in the chest but instead he lifted his knee and i kicked his knee really hard. IT WAS PAINFUL. I immediately dropped to the ground i rested for at lease 10-15min before continuing, then i continued sparring again. The next day, the bruises became more apparent, but my ankle was extremely sore, i couldn't really even move it. Several days have pasted and it has kind of recovered, but rotation still hurts. I have tournament coming up in two weeks and i can't train at all if i can't rotate my ankle properly. Anyone else had the trouble of a hit to the shin resulting in ankle pain? And who has a good way to recover from this quickly? What type of medication works best? Please answer, I'm desperate to recover and start training again.
I'm Definitely not dropping out of the tournament guys, only have two every year. The pain is, not extremely painful anymore, just little not sharp pains.
