You can give a baby calpol for teething depending on the baby's age. As they only do calpol for 2 months+. I know this because i have recently purchased calpol for my 2 month old son who has a slight temperature

Yes, Calpol is fine to give to babies for teething thats what i do. make sure you get the one that is for babies, it can be used on babies 2 months plus. For a younger baby i think it is 2.5ml you give, and for an older baby it is 5ml. Make sure you check the instructions on the back first because this i am not sure about.

Calgel teething gel is good too, it can be used with calpol, as it doesn't contain any paracetamol or anything. It's a herbal teething gel. It can be used every twenty mins, no more than 6 times a day. It's for babies three months plus. It seems to help with my son.

Yes, of course. Its a baby paracetamol, so perfect for teething pain relief. Just follow the instructions carefully.

Talk to your pharmacist/chemist, they will probably recommend something mildly different because I don't think they make calpol for babies but there are other paracetamol containing medicines for infants.

Yes, in theory. If you have Calpol at home then just check the minimum age at which you can use it. If your baby is over 3 months and it is Calpol Infant Suspension then it should be ok. You don't say how old your baby is, though.

If you are unsure then do go to the Pharmacy and ask them to recommend another brand of paracetamol for babies.

If you haven't already tried these alternative remedies they are well worth a go:

Ashton & Parsons infants powders
Nelsons Teetha teething granules
Weleda teething granules
Bickiepegs teething biscuits

Have you tried teething powder? you rub it on their gums directly and it numbs them.
