37 weeks sharp pains and menstrual like cramps?

I woke up this morning and had bad menstrual like cramps so all I could do was lay in bed for 5 hours. I finally had to get up for an appointment and had a bit of nausea. After my appt I felt a lot better. Then as I was leaving my appt I began to get sharp pains in my vagina. I have had them off and on all day. Is this early labor? My next appt with my obgyn is Monday
