Frost bite bubble from icing directly on pain?

Hey..I was playing the guitar and I felt something get pulled - now i have a pain on the side of my knuckle / side of my finger that goes slightly up to the middle of my first finger ... Anyone know what i Could of done? Icing it seems to have made it worse - could it be a hairline fracture ( does icing help fractures? ) or a sprain? also after putting ice direct on pain i pulled it off and noticed a white bubble....is this some sort of frost bite blister? Its right on the middle knuckle and is prob the worst part of this injury .. help appreciated thanks =)
